Expotv hired me mostly for doing front-end development which included CSS, JavaScript, php and template building. When they decided that is was time to revamp their video player this became my core responsibility, from design to implementation. The new video player was to be in html5 and actionscript which would degrade to flash for non supporting browsers. With the video player we also added in "Hot Spots" were you could add a clickable region to the video playing for more information and links to products.

  • Coded new skinable video player from scratch in ActionScript and Jquery
  • Designed and developed a hot spot(clickable notes) editor and plugin for the video player.

As the Lead Front-end developer at Imaginova I implemented the redesign of Livescience, Newsarama and Aviation.com; this included all the CSS, JavaScript libraries (prototype, scriptaculous and jQuery) and templates for the CMS.

  • Developed custom search templates in XSLT and maintained the company's Google Search Appliance.
  • Implemented DoubleClick on all of the company's properties.
  • Set up DART tags and trained the sales team with ad trafficking through DART.
  • Implemented custom Brightcove video players for Livescience.com, Newsarama.com and Space.com
  • Trafficking of video pre-rolls and take over's.
  • Developed a Yahoo application for my Yahoo! called “Hey Einstein” which is on Yahoo's most recommend list on Yahoo Open Apps.
